Walk the Chasm

Discover Standley Chasm

Take a walk through the natural creek bed to one of the Red Centre's most recognised attractions. The Standley Chasm walk is an easy 20-minute return walk, leading to the narrow rock formation and towering cliff faces that make this place so unique.

If you're looking for a longer walk, access to Section 3 of the Larapinta Trail can be found halfway along the Chasm track. The climb takes around 45 minutes and offers views across the West MacDonnell Ranges.

For a free alternative, visit the Angkerle Loop Lookout near the Cultural Centre. This short 20-minute return walk provides elevated views of the surrounding ranges and landscape.

You can book your entry online before you arrive or simply purchase your ticket at our Gift Shop on arrival.

Entry fees to Standley Chasm help support the local Aboriginal community and assist with the ongoing care and management of this important cultural site.
