Plan Your Visit

Experience one of Central Australia's most iconic natural attractions. A short 20-minute return walk along a natural creek bed leads you to the spectacular Standley Chasm, where towering red rock walls rise up to 80 metres above you.

Visitors can book online in advance or simply purchase their entry ticket at the Gift Shop on arrival. The last entry to the Chasm is 4:30 pm daily.

Trading Hours

  • Monday to Saturday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

  • Sunday: 8:00 am – 2:00 pm

Admission fees apply, with all proceeds supporting the local Aboriginal community and helping to preserve and maintain this special cultural and natural site for future generations.

Directions

Standley Chasm is a 40-minute drive west of Alice Springs and accessible by sealed road during operating hours. Take Larapinta Drive until you see the turn off to the Chasm on the right.
